Maths is an essential subject in everyday life and allows us to understand the world we live in. Using mathematics enables us to model real-life situations and make connections and informed predictions.  It equips us with the skills we need to interpret and analyse information, simplify and solve problems, assess risk and make informed decisions.
 

National 5 and Higher Maths both cover units in areas such as algebra, geometry and calculus.  Both levels have a final exam made up of paper 1 (non-calculator) and paper two.
